  • It's fun seeing all whole museum above, from van Gogh paintings, to books, a menagerie of animals and pokemon all in lego form! We even got ourselves a ship! I have been admiring Fairyland Minifee dolls for awhile, and decided to get one for my birthday, and have put all the pieces together.

The name of this release is Istet. I was worried that they might be hard to put together, but it's very friendly to newbies. My, my, my! I am calling her Arsinoe in honor of Cleopatra's sister. Here she is. I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship. I just love her!

I finally got around to try out crocheting some stuff. Those are my first three projects.

I'm still looking for a better doll base. This one was a little messy and missing a couple steps that I had to improvise. I also don't like how the head was supposed to fit onto the body...

I made a cat. I also wanted to make a doll of Pyra from Xenoblade 2. The latter was harder than expected and I had to change her clothes to something else due to how complicated her actual design is.

I may need to look for some safety eyes. Adding eyes via embroidering always looks a little weird to me. :(

The others look pretty good too =3

I made a couple Pokemon Mega Construx sets that had been lying around for quite a while. Squirtle, Snorlax and Galarian Ponyta:

Here's Bulbasaur and Charmander as well, made these like a year or two ago:

And here's something more seasonally appropriate:

It's a Lego Gingerbread house I made 2 years ago, Lego Gingerbreadman included! =3

Got another one done. I like the base but unfortunately there's no tutorials for clothing so I tried to adopt some other tutorials with mixed results. ^^"

It seems like I'll always take about a month for a doll. I still have 3-4 other ones in mind.

I managed to finish two this time. I still try to figure out how to do some of the clothes. But at least now I have safety eyes. ^^"

Finished two more. I still have one more I want to make. And then I'll probably check out some other stuff. Haven't really decided on what exactly, though.
They look like amazing dolls, I would love to have the skills like you to create one from some thread, sadly I have commitment issues
While there are some pitfalls you can fall into; it's actually not too complicated. If you know the basic stitches and you have the tools it really just comes down to following instructions.

I wouldn't even call it skill. It's mostly just the same base doll model with some minor changes and a bunch of improvisations whenever I made a mistake. ^^"

I tried finding some Umbreon crochet stuff. But so far it's been not so great. This one's head for example is too heavy so it always falls over...

Also: I'm not particularly into creating stuff with plush yarn. It's actually quite a bit harder than regular one. ^^"

  • I made a Glaceon pixel art thingy today from 1 x 1 Lego like pieces.
I did not make the patterns. I made the Alolan Sandshrew/Sandslash long ago and Eevee a couple months back and today finally made the Glaceon.

Not sure why the images insist on being rotated after uploading here... they weren't rotated on my phone's camera at all. Anyway:

When you make a photo with your phone it actually stores some extra data. Among that is also the image orientation which is why it shows correctly on your phone.

When you upload that image to PC the forum probably removes that extra data. That's not a bad thing, mind you. PC does that because the extra data could potentially include some private stuff you wouldn't want on a public space.

I usually run into that problem, as well. The difference is that I put the pictures into a paint app because I like cutting out the unimportant stuff. That also requires me to reorient the image, as well. Presumably because it removes the extra data. But I also have some tools that allow me to remove extra data if need be.
