Emerald hack: Pokemon Emerald Final v7.41 (updated January 18th 2023)

Hey Dearman,

Love all the work you put into the hack. I have a question (not sure if you'll be able to answer it but worth a shot).

I utilized the Emerald gameshark cheats to spawn in certain encounters (doing a mono water run, wanted to give myself a few poke's to start with) however now the wild encounters are stuck on whatever I last modified, even if I shut off the code. (Ex: I put in the code for a Horsea, caught it, turned the code off. Now, I still ONLY run into wild Horsea's.)

Again, not sure if you know of a solution given that you may not be as familiar with the cheatcodes and what they do in hand with the hack. Either way, I love your creation so far and am grateful for the work you put in!

Glad to hear you're enjoying it! My recommendation is to re-patch a new ROM and transfer the save in. Might fix the encounters. Can explain how to transfer a save if you need, though tbh I would prefer to do that on our Discord to not flood this post with unnecessary responses :P

I wasn't even doing anything with them like feeding Vitamins to them seeing as I'm still at Granite Cave. All I did was catch one, the level 9 ones you find in B1, then look at their stats to see which evolution they'll potentially get. Then I just level them up one level to level 10 and they'd evolve right away. I just found it odd that the one with Atk > Def didn't evolve correctly.

I finally got a Tyrogue that properly evolved into Hitmonlee and all I needed to do was find one that had a Nature that boosts its Atk stat ^_^

Anyway, I forgot to ask if you added the modern Breeding Mechanic, where in Modern games either parent can pass on Egg Moves to a Baby Pokemon not just the father, to the patch?

Addendum yet again:

So ok I finally got to Slateport and when I bought ten (10) Great Balls I wasn't given a Free Premier Ball. So are the free Premier Balls only for ten regular Poke Balls now?

Here are two screenshots of my Night time, 9:15PM, gameplay and if I recall correctly this Lighting coloration was originally used in the 6PM to 8PM time frame and it should be gray to nearly black by 9PM onwards.

Did it levelup from catching a pokemon? Try a Moon Stone on it.

Sadly no, though I thought I fixed that issue in the latest version. What version were you using?

Ok, this hack is Great. It is just the wet dream (not because Hoenn have way too much water or anything) of any that wished for an enhanced experience of Emerald. 10/10 would recommend.
Quick question, is there a New Wilds patch for the Deluxe Variant? Because in the folder there's only three patch files: Vanila wilds, Vanila wilds Plus, and a patch file with nothing, just says "Deluxe No Gen VI Exp Share" for the no Exp Share and "Deluxe with Gen VI Exp Share" for the exp share version. Been hunting Beldum in Steven's room for hours, and haven't seen any. (No Mawiles in the same room as well).
Also an option to disable capture exp? Not very important but I'm just a huge fan of it.
Pre Gen VI type match up? Considering that fairies aren't in this hack, it wouldn't make much sense still using the Gen VI type match up chart as Fairy just replaced steel in resisting dark. (again, stupid. but I just want to make steel great again)
Once again, I cannot type how thankful I am for this hack. So take this stupid thing instead. lol.

Only Legacy has an option to disable capture exp, sadly. The Deluxe variant uses a utility called Dizzy's Battle Engine Upgrade which adds new gen mechanics to the game, it's how I put gen4 stuff in so that is all part and parcel with it.

Super glad to hear you're enjoying it! We just started an early beta test in our Discord server btw. I'm making every trainer rematchable from the start, which is what we're testing out with the beta. BUT I am also adding a ton of new features like IV increaser items, an egg vending machine in the Game Corner (mostly trash mons, but some really great rares are in there as well!), just to name a few ;)

They are there from the get-go, if you use the patch that includes them! If you picked the patch that says "Vanilla Wilds" or "Vanilla Wilds Plus" then you'll only get Hoenn pokemon. Side note, I am going to change the naming from New Wilds to National Dex in the hopes of avoiding confusion.

25 hours in and still enjoying it. Feels Great!
Some bugs here and there, but mostly harmless. Battle Tents not capped properly, some guys saying weird stuff (must be high on hyper potion), Breloom having poison powder, Ralts line having Sing, nothing major. (I can sent some screencap if you are interested)
Main problem is the lack of some Gen IV+ moves in the move tutor and TM. Moves like Stone Edge, Flash Cannon Focus Blast are just not there. Maybe add them in your next update? (or give me a pointer on where they are lol)
Egg vending machine sounds interesting. Can't wait to gamble my life away just for some Rattta lol.

Should work on the eggs you get from the Day Care man AFTER getting the shiny charm. See, eggs generate all the data of the pokemon at that point, not when they hatch
